System.Windows.Controls.Toolkit.extmap.xml

Description

Any plans to create the manifest file necessary to get the toolkit dlls to support the new SL3 Application Library Caching (or External Assembly Parts) feature? I could build one myself but it seems like a nice feature to have out of the box that I wouldn't have to maintain.

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and blogged the extmap.xml files - http://www.jeff.wilcox.name/2009/10/toolkit-extmaps/

Heck yeah, we will deliver this in the next release. I'm sorry that we just were so focused on delivering on the Visual Studio 2010 featureset that we couldn't get the time to get this in for the October release.

I see the new drop still doesn't ship with a manifest to support external assembly parts. Maybe I'll put one together and share with the group. My 2 cents: The application library caching feature is so cool, I highly recommend all component makers to create manifests so apps can take advantage of it. Keep the xaps small and share the cache!

I would like the new look that the Toolkit installation has to also include these features that integrate with SL3 like it should. Also, I can't think that it would be that much work. I prefer the Toolkit team to take responsibility for these files because then issues like version updates (when a new version of the Toolkit is released) is invisible to the end user - apart of course that the SL3 features work :)
