Components in the Silverlight 4 Toolkit
The Silverlight Toolkit defines four Quality Bands that describe the stability and finish-level of each component. Below is a summary of where the components currently in the Silverlight Toolkit fall within the quality bands.
- Components in the Mature/SDK Quality Band (The binaries for these components ship in the Silverlight 3 SDK, their full source is available in the Silverlight Toolkit.)
- Components in the Stable Quality Band
- Components in the Preview Quality Band
- Infrastructure and Development Tools in the Experimental Quality Band
- Visual Studio unit test project and item templates
- Silverlight Unit Test Framework and Visual Studio unit test metadata for Silverlight

It would be helpful if the changes to Theming for SL4 could be highlighted and remove the reference to ImplicitStyleManager now that it is no longer valid for SL4. Very confusing reading all about the SL3 solutions when they are not applicable to SL4.

Is there any chance that all features will get mature somewhen?
No update since more than a year! I'm getting more and more unconfident whether it's a good idea to invest any more time into silverlight ...

Can anyone please be kind to help me with some basic guideline in running these binaries. i am a very junior developer and struggling a bit at the moment.
i was wishing to run an app called the pivot viwer itself but not even sure it is included in these binaries but being able to run these will get me started in thre right direction anyway. God bless you. Manny

How about some update? Nothing happening here for more than half year! Is Silverlight "deprecated" in Microsoft since introduction of HTML5?

I've had to revert to an earlier release. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but TreeViewDragDropTarget is now unusable. Normal clicking (ie not actually click-and-drag) has about 50% chance of initiating a drag operation, which is very frustrating. I didn't change any code. just changed references and recompiled.

Project could be really great if patches were actually accepted/rejected from the community to make Silverlight better. Items sitting in a "being evaluated" status for over a year suggests this is closed Community w/ an open source license. (There's at least 3 patches on Drag Drop -- will there evaluation ever finish?).
I want Drag and Drop to really work in ChildWindows.

This project needs more money; so experimental controls actually get finished in this decade. Other controls are good.

Great release. Huge time saver. Examples are simple and get straight to the point.

Very good stuff. Wish it was easier to hide the legend or change themes using Charts. Drag / Drop code is awesome and works really well out of the box (though would be great if it worked for an ItemsControl as well as the derived ListBox). Layout panels were desperately needed. Wonderful project and a must-have for Silverlight development in my opinion.

Just about everything you need that *didn't* come with the Silverlight 4 SDK! Hurray for Wrapping Panels.

In the Silverlight 4 toolkit, I can't find the Viewbox control. I use Visual Studio 2010 as IDE.
